“Hair as Art” …a time-honored tradition
September 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Debra Matthews, an antique dealer, collector of antiquities, and long-time Museum volunteer, discusses “hair” as an artform that goes back generations to when it was an accepted right-of-passage. By modern standards it may be considered unusual, but creating art from hair was a time-honored tradition to celebrate weddings and birthdays… to honor bereavement and create a family legacy. Debra provides a history of human hair art, how it is created, and its Prescott connection. Museum Lecture Series, free admission.
