Crafts and activities from-the-past, plus frontier family amusements, highlight events at the 46th Annual Folk Arts Fair, on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, 2019, at Sharlot Hall Museum.
Discover a simpler time while learning about essential skills of Territorial Arizona when the “Village of Traditions” returns to the shade-covered Museum for its 46th consecutive year.
The four-acre Sharlot Hall Museum campus will be transformed into a traditional Arizona village featuring themed districts with demonstrations and hands-on experiences for folks of all ages.
The two-day event includes old-fashioned presentations of quilting, weaving, leather-working, furniture building, tatting, basket weaving, to name only a few. Visitors will see craftspeople carving, chair caning, fiber dying, lace making and woodworking, as well as wool being spun and woven into fabric.
Bring the family and experience the fun and crafts of an earlier time in Arizona’s history. Daily admission is FREE for youth and children (17 and under); $9 for adults 18 and over, and $5 for Museum members. The 46th Annual Folk Arts Fair is open 10 a.m. To 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Located at 415 West Gurley Street in Prescott (just two blocks west of the courthouse), Sharlot Hall Museum is a cultural and educational center that fosters an appreciation of the social, historical and natural aspects of Arizona’s Central Highlands.
