Yavapai College Library

The Yavapai College/Boyd Tenney Library archives contain extensive information on the founding and operations of Yavapai College as well as a collection of publications issued under the auspices of the College. Yavapai College archives consist of newspaper materials about the College, catalogs, periodicals, handbooks, reports, yearbooks, brochures, and the minutes of meetings of the Governing Board, the division chairs, and the Faculty Association.

In addition, the College has been a repository for US Government documents since 1973. They receive approximately 14% of everything the government publishes. When it is time to bring this collection up to date, library personnel choose what the college and this community want to keep. Most of the items the library keeps are area specific. What they do not keep goes to the State Archives.

Researchers must obtain permission to work in the archives and coordinate their activities with Mollie Gugler, the librarian currently responsible for the archives (phone: 520-776-2274).
