Jerome State Historic Park

The Jerome State Historic Park is located below the business district of Jerome just off Highway 89A on Douglas Road (phone: 520-634-5381). The museum is housed in the former mansion of James S. Douglas, owner of the Little Daisy copper mine. The museum's archives contain numerous artifacts and documents relating directly to miners, the mining industry, and the history of Jerome. It also showcases those enterprises engaged in by the Douglas family. This is especially well illustrated by the collection's photographs that contain rich visual information on the family's business dealings in Arizona and Mexico.

Due to a common historical focus, both the Park and the Jerome Historical Society collections have some areas of interest that overlap and in some cases they have materials that duplicate one another.
