Discussion of a letter from Douglas W. Marshall, PhD, CEO of the Little Traverse Historical Society requesting the transfer of the contents of Accession 81.056 to them. The contents were a Colt .41 caliber double action "Thunderer" revolver with holster & belt. While the Committee had indicated in earlier communications with Mrs. Barbara Fochtman that a transfer of this material to a local historical society might be an acceptable answer to her request to return this material to her, it turned out that several things need to be discussed before that could happen. In the final analysis, this material, while it had never been on exhibit, did have a potential for exhibit. It also appeared to not be of interest to the Little Traverse Historical Society other than Mrs. Fochtman had requested it be located there because she lived in the area. There seemed to be no compelling reason to honor this request. In a vote of No: 6 and Yes: 0, the Committee declined the request.
