Sharlot Hall Museum needs volunteers to guide schoolchildren through the Museum’s featured exhibit, Water: Quest for the Solution. A two-hour workshop will train you to become an exhibit docent for third through sixth grades.
Water is a serious subject today. This school program examines the history of water and its management in Arizona from early Indian culture through modern day usage.
The story of this critical and ever-changing natural resource is brought to life in an exciting way for children, using hands-on activities.
The training class will be offered on September 4, 2008, from 1pm to 4pm, at Sharlot Hall Museum, 415 W. Gurley Street in Prescott, two blocks west of Courthouse Plaza.
If you are interested in volunteering to be a docent, or would like more information, please contact Gretchen Guice at 928/445-3122, extension 19, or Barbara Cook at extension 18.
