2012 Living History Workshops
Sharlot Hall Museum Education Department, 415 W. Gurley St., Prescott
Once they obtain a project packet, participants may return to scheduled workshops for a small voluntary donation as often as needed to complete the project. Each workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the dates below, and participants may join in anytime during those hours. Tea, coffee and snacks are provided, but guests should bring their own lunch.
Seating is limited, so please call the Museum (928-445-3122) to reserve a place, or call instructor Pattie Conrad (928-778-4810) for additional information.
Saturday, February 4, 2012 Living History Workshop (one of a series), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sharlot Hall Museum, 415 W. Gurley St., Prescott. Learn how to make such Victorian accessories as bonnets, muffs, reticules and parasols. For your $30 donation to Museum’s Living History program, you receive an instruction packet for the project of your choice and workshop help to complete the project. Call instructor Pattie Conrad (928-778-4810) in advance for details; seating is limited. This workshop will explore two themes: “mending is a never-ending chore” and “an apple a day,” featuring a presentation on making a frontier medicine chest and pasteboard containers for medicines, eyeglasses, needles, etc. Participants are invited to bring an item to mend.
