Sheriff O'Neill

In 1889 Sheriff O'Neill led the pursuit of four robbers who had stopped an Atlantic & Pacific train at Diablo Canyon. Crossing the Colorado at Lee's Ferry, the posse captured Sterin, Halford, Harvick, and J.F. Smith, all cowboys for the Aztec Land and Cattle Co., popularly known as the Hashknife Outfit.
