Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
SABINA MOTTES TOCI
Sabina was born in August 1891 in Fai, Austria. She came to Crown King, Arizona, in 1907 and married Joseph Toci, a stone mason, in Prescott that same year.

Sabina and Joseph had six children: Paul Philip, born April 10, 1908; O. J., born October 10, 1909; Catherine Gant, born in 1914; John, born in 1916; Louis, born in 1920; and Elizabeth Holmes, born in 1929.

In addition to being a housewife, Sabina worked in the kitchen at Fort Whipple and raised turkeys in Chino Valley for customers in Prescott. She attended grammar school and then further educated herself.

She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Garden Club.

Sabina died on July 19, 1981, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
