MARIE ERNST
Marie was born on December 6, 1884, in Timasoara,in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and came to the U.S. in 1901. She became an American citizen in Newark, New Jersey. In New Mexico at a tuberculosis sanitarium she met and later married John Ernst.

They moved to Arizona in 1914 and homesteaded on Humphrey Wash near Simmons in Williamson Valley on the Las Vegas Ranch at Camp Wood.

The Ernsts operated the largest dairy in Phoenix AZ. They built Mission Lodge in the Prescott area in the 1950s and owned other apartments in Prescott. They also had businesses in Philadelphia PA.

Marie was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and lived at 227 Pleasant Street. Marie died on June 12, 1979, in Prescott.
