Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
LUCY MAY ROBERTS
May was born on April 8, 1874, in Neosho, Missouri.

She was a milliner who had a business in 1922 with Dolly Heisler, known as Roberts and Heisler Millinery and Ladies Ready-to-Wear, at 210 West Gurley.

May and her husband Edward A. Roberts, a firemen with the Santa Fe Railroad and City Street Department, lived at 228 (222) South Cortez. Her daughter was Mrs. Floyd Williams, Sr.

May was widowed in 1923. Her aunt Kate Simpson is also represented in the Rose Garden, as is her mother-in-law Jenny Roberts.

May died on January 29, 1962, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
