Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
CHARITY ALEXANDRIA SPARKES BONES
Charity was born in 1888 and came to Prescott from Lead, South Dakota, with her parents, Thomas J. and Mary Ann Martin Sparkes, in 1904.

On June 2, 1914, she married Percy (Perry) Leroy Bones, a miner, in Fresno, California.

Perry later became a plumber and was employed by Yavapai County. They lived at 128 South Marina Street. Her sister, Grace Sparkes, and her mother are also represented in the Sharlot Hall Rose Garden.

Charity, a Catholic, died in May 1954 in Bisbee, Arizona, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
