Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
BERTIE LEONA WEIR DURFLINGER SCHNURR
Bertie was born on March 29, 1888, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Peter and Kitty Vaughn Weir. She came to Arizona in 1902 and ran a business college in Prescott.

In the late 1930s, Bertie was proprietor of the Ren-de-Voo Tea Room at 119 North Montezuma.

After the death of her first husband, Mr. Durflinger, Bertie married Earl Schnurr. She belonged to the Elks Ladies, the Monday Club, the Women of the Moose, and was president of the Yavapai County Democratic Women's Club.

Bertie served on the Salvation Army Board of Directors. She was very civic and charitably minded. Her home was at 113 North Granite Street.

Bertie died on April 29, 1960, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
