Black and white photo of Arizona Pioneers' Home c1912
Arizona Pioneers' Home c. 1912
This is an index to the Arizona Pioneers' Home records. The Home was established by the Territory of Arizona in 1911 in order to take care of aged and infirm Arizonans. Initially, a “men only” institution (principally miners), a woman's wing was added in 1916. Today the Pioneers' Home admits “pioneers” who are over 65 and have lived in Arizona for over 30 years. For additional information about the home, its history or admittance requirements visit http://www.azph.gov/

In 2002 Pat Potter and Sue Kissel re-evaluated all Arizona Pioneers' Home records that had been donated to the Sharlot Hall Museum Archives as microfilm and found the original index mistakenly left many names off, and was divided into three parts based on the years produced (1911-1946, 1946-1972, and 1972-2000). Here is the complete index with corrections.
